Get to know me
Hey! This is Brian Gaylord.
Photographer. Christian. Husband to Carrie. Father. Designer by day, storyteller with a camera whenever I can be. I shoot the moments that matter: seniors stepping into their next chapter, families being themselves, weddings, and everything happening at my church in Azle. Based in Springtown, but I'll go wherever the story takes me across DFW.
More about me
Hey, I'm Brian
I'm a photographer in the Springtown/Azle area, but I'll shoot anywhere in the DFW region. Seniors, families, weddings, church events. If there are people and a story happening, I'm in.
So here's how this whole thing started. My Uncle Pete left me some camera gear, and at first I just shot landscapes. Safe choice, right? Trees don't blink during the shot. But then I started helping out with the media team at The Church at Azle, and man, I realized people are so much more interesting than scenery.
There's actual life happening in front of the lens.
I had a mentor and good friend named Bob who showed me the ropes. Spent a couple years figuring things out, making mistakes, learning what worked. Now it's a legit business, which still feels kind of wild to say out loud.
During the week I work at my full time gig. Photography is my side hustle that I'm building into something bigger. My wife Carrie and I have been married fourteen years. We've got kids. Life is full and loud and good.
My faith is a big deal to me. I'm a Christian, and that's not just a label I slap on things. It actually shapes how I see people, how I do business, how I approach this work. Every morning starts with thanking God. That probably sounds cheesy, but it's true.
I shoot Nikon (Z6 and D500). Edit in Lightroom Classic and Luminar Neo. The gear matters, but not as much as the moment.
A Quick Note on Transparency
The thoughts, stories, and opinions you read on this site are 100% mine. But here's the thing: I use Claude.ai to help me organize and format my writing. (I'm a Photographer not a Writer). Think of it like having a really good editor who helps me get my ideas onto the page in a way that actually makes sense. The heart and soul? That's all me. The polish? That's where my AI assistant comes in.
